I have been a professional musician for longer than I care to admit to complete strangers.
I grew up on a farm in rural Oregon where, as a child, I started singing and playing the piano. I was blessed to earn a scholarship to George Fox University, where I was awarded a B.A. in Music Performance with a minor in Psychology and Communications.
I didn’t graduate with my classmates at George Fox. I was busy traveling and performing with various musical groups all over the United States. After the tour ended I returned to George Fox University to pick up my diploma.
Since then, I have performed with numerous music groups on five continents, in 28 countries, including the Vatican.
I have continued my professional development by earning certifications in Kodaly, Yamaha, and Suzuki teaching methods. I am also certified for teaching by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI).
From the student who simply wants to have fun with a new challenge, to one who wishes to have a fuller life through a greater understanding and appreciation of music, to the student who seeks to become a professional musician, I can help.
