My name is Toni Pfau. I teach music — piano, voice, music theory, beginning guitar. Music.

I love music and I love teaching. I know from experience that a better, more successful life includes an understanding and appreciation of music.

Unfortunately music education isn’t common in schools anymore, so I have a little blog where, from time to time, I post some music-related videos and write a few words to explain what’s happening. I hope my students and their families — and other people with an interest in music — will enjoy the music and the commentary. Share it with your friends!

Given a choice between playing the piano at Nordstrom or shopping at Nordstrom, I’ll narrowly choose playing the piano.

I teach in my studio at Big Time Music, a music school in the Walgreen’s mall near Murray Boulevard and Cornell Road, across from Safeway.

Big Time Music is at the far end of the mall from Walgreen’s, directly adjacent to the baseball fields at Sunset high school. Most of my students live in the Forest Heights, Rock Creek, Bethany, Cedar Mill, Beaverton, and Hillsboro areas of the Portland Metro area.
